Jessica Homer

CCEP

Jessica comes to Moxie as a lifelong learner with abundant curiosity, who believes there must be a more human approach to dealing with the complexity of interpersonal workplace relationships. This combination has created a passion for investigations and training.

Jessica is a Florida licensed attorney and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics. She has specifically trained in neutral Title IX, VII, VI, ADA, and ADEA investigations. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Organizational Change from Regis College, and a Certificate in Local Government Management from Florida Gulf Coast University.

About Jessica

In 2021, she moved to the legal team at FGCU, serving as the Assistant General Counsel for the school. She is currently the ADA Coordinator in Rockville, Maryland, a yoga teacher, an adjunct professor teaching Business Ethics and Law, and of course, happily working with Lindsey again at Moxie Mediation!

Beyond investigations, Jessica offers a wide variety of training that can be catered to private businesses, public entities, and higher education institutions. Her particular favorite training is the Values-Based Management training program, which is a half or full-day workshop aimed at working with managers to create and present clear organization values, which translate to a more equitable, efficient, and effective workplace.

Jessica spent seven years in higher education in student affairs before going to law school. She started her legal career investigating employment discrimination complaints with the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission in Louisville, Kentucky. She joined Lindsey at Scott Wagner and Associates, P.A. as a National Employment Lawyers Association Fellow and stayed with the firm until 2016. Following, she worked at Florida Gulf Coast University as an Investigator in the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, eventually moving into the Assistant Director and Senior Deputy Title IX Coordinator in the same office.
